File Lock PRO is a utility designed to protect files and folders and restrict access to them by means of a password. These sort of programs are necessary when you share your computer with other people and for any reason do not want them to access your personal files. Using the latest encryption standards, the program can be used to protect any file type in your computer or USB drive, that is, text documents, executable files, media files, images, and more. The program adds itself to the context menu, and from there you can either hide, lock/unlock, or delete any file. When you first launch the program you need to create a password that is going to be used from then on to handle all the protected files. So, whenever you need to hide or lock/unlock a file, you simply select it, right-click on it, and choose one of the options. Next time you (or anyone) try to open that file, the program will require the password. It means that all your protected files will be completely inaccessible to anyone without the password. Additionally, the ‘secure delete’ option permanently removes from the system files which are difficult to delete.
The program runs under all Windows OS, from Windows 2000 to 7.
